How to Access the Awas’ak Wiyasawewin Kīsīhtamōwin

Submit Your Request in Writing

2. The grounds for your review (why you believe the decision should be reviewed)
Submit your written request to the Onikanew (the decision-maker), who will forward it to the Tribunal within 7 days or submit it via the contact form.

Engage in the Review Process

Once the Awas’ak Wiyasawewin Kīsīhtamōwin receives your request, they may ask for:
1. Oral or written submissions from you and the Onikanew
2. Any other evidence they need to make a fair decision
The Tribunal may also investigate the issue on their own or appoint a mediator to help resolve the dispute if both parties agree.

Receive the Awas’ak Wiyasawewin Kīsīhtamōwin’s Decision

The Awas’ak Wiyasawewin Kīsīhtamōwin will complete their review and provide their decision within 60 days. You will receive a written decision that includes the Tribunal’s reasons for confirming or reconsidering the original decision.
